Stats Reference
Understand how stats work and affect gameplay in Marathon.
Weapon Stats
The base damage dealt per shot or hit. Higher damage means faster time-to-kill against enemies.
Heavy weapons typically have higher damage but slower fire rates.
Rounds per minute (RPM). Determines how quickly the weapon fires.
SMGs and auto rifles have the highest fire rates, while snipers and rockets are slowest.
Effective range of the weapon. Affects damage falloff at distance.
Snipers have the best range, while SMGs and shotguns suffer at distance.
How much recoil the weapon has. Higher stability means less screen shake and easier target tracking.
Important for sustained fire weapons like LMGs and auto rifles.
Affects weapon swap speed, ADS speed, and general responsiveness.
Lighter weapons like pistols have better handling than heavy weapons.
Time in seconds to fully reload the weapon. Lower is better.
Can be improved with certain perks like Feeding Frenzy or Outlaw.
Number of rounds before needing to reload. Larger magazines mean more sustained damage.
LMGs have the largest magazines, while snipers and rockets have the smallest.
Runner Stats
Base hit points. When reduced to zero, the runner is downed.
Tank classes have the highest health pools.
Regenerating barrier that absorbs damage before health. Recharges when out of combat.
Shields regenerate faster than health.
Base movement speed. Affects walking, running, and strafing velocity.
Recon classes are typically the fastest.
Rate at which shields and health regenerate when not taking damage.
Support classes often have higher recovery stats.
Damage resistance. Reduces incoming damage from all sources.
Tank classes have the highest resilience.
